If you verify that you were unemployed during a week when you actually worked, NJ UI considers that fraud. The penalties will be far more than just coming after you for the second week.
NJ UI requires that you notify them when you return to work full-time. You are required to supply them with specific info on the new job -- including the date you returned to work, your gross wages, and the number of hours you worked the first week, as well as the name, address, and telephone number of your employer.
If you choose not to file by telephone and speak to an agent, you can instead file on line (
www.njuifile.net) -- and supply that info about the new job there.
