Sorry if this is a repeat thread.

I nominate Jon Stewart.

He won't fail. Leno is the one more likely to fail because of being in primetime. Of course NBC stinks, so anything is possible with them.

I don't think he'll fail, because he does have a faithful following. My guess is he won't maintain 1st place in the ratings, but he'll keep his job for a few seasons at least.

Really, one night and threads like this pop up. Newsflash just because YOU don't like him doesn't mean everyone else feels the same way. Go watch Letterman, cause the 40 threads about Conan killing the Tonight Show are getting OLD.

Somehow it feels like he is out of place. I enjoy his humor and show back in New York, but last night, he didn't seem comfortable or funny like his old show. Something strange about the whole thing.

He does ALOT funnier bits then Leno EVER did. Leno is for the old geezer generation.

Oh goodness. The network won't even consider it. I watched tonight for the 1st time(with Tom Hanks)...it was good...and it was typical Conan.

He's definitely going to bring in the younger, hipper audience. Could you possibly imagine Jay Leno doing that twitter bit?

Good point. I thought he was good. I didn't like his other show. But he's a good host and a great comedy writer. I think he'll mature into this position. And, we Baby Boomers need to let go and let the young'uns have some fun. Jimmy Fallon and Conan are a nice change from Letterman and Leno.

and... it's JUST a TV show!

In an interview Conan mentioned they had 3 months rehearsing to get the show started right and yet he failed miserably with the lame stale crap that he's famous for in NYC.
They should've just drop the whole Tonight Show show and let it go out on top and retire it with Leno. Maybe start a new name for Conan's show like "The Late Nite Crap Show of Yore".
