I've given him two nights and not liked either show. Running from NY to LA was sort of dumb. He doesn't appear comfortable at all ... maybe that will come with time ... but I don't think he will make it ... ratings will tell the tale and I'm afraid The Tonight Show will be down at the bottom. Of course I think Jimmy Fallon is a total waste of time too.

Okay to those that keep saying he doesn't look comfortable, I think your confusing his style with nervousness. He looks fine

I'm not a Conan fan and I tried to watch it. Loved Leno and I am NOT an "old geezer". Leno had more everyday humor that a wider cross section of the population could relate with. Conan has a set schtick and that is about it. The Rodeo Rd shopping trip was funny. The Twitter skit was HORRIBLE!!!! I don't think that one will last long at all. I did switch to Letterman and then just gave up and went to bed. Letterman is hit or miss and can sometimes just be stale.......... I see Conan the same way. I also said that I did not think that Conan will last near as long as Carson or Leno did on The Tonight Show. Now hindsight, I loved Joan Rivers when she would guest host on The Tonight Show and she did a great job. She would not have lasted as long as Leno either in that position. I think Leno will be just fine in primetime IF the network will find a good time slot and LEAVE IT THERE!

If The Tonight Show is trying to appeal to a younger audience w/ Conan then what is up w/ the old geezer big bop band? Kevin Eubanks was MUCH hipper than the band w/ Conan.

I doubt people tun in for the band. Also if you watched Conan on Late Night he involves the band in plenty of jokes that appeal to younger people.

and... it's JUST a TV show!

Indeed!

Well I watched Leno and did tune in for Kevin. That could be just me but I identified with Kevin being that I am also a Philadelphia sports fan I also think Leno and Kevin have great chemistry.

Twinkle Toes,

I use to watch Arsenio's show and found him very entertaining. Another good replacement in my opinion would be Robin Williams.
