I agree, I just finished the Twilight series (read all 4 in a week) and definitely saw a lot of similarties from the mind-reading (although switched human vs. vamp).

I too am addicted to this show just like I was to the books.

Jason and Tara truly add humor/hilarity to the show.
That last episode was Jason's show, and it was really funny.
He must have some killer semen, cause every woman he has sex with, dies !!

Sookie and Bill are starting to bore me.....

Does anyone have any theories about Merlotte's bar owner? Do you think that he is the dog that keeps showing up? They are connected somehow and I just can't peg it yet.
Yes, I think Sam is that dog. I think he changes form - he's a shape shifter - and becomes the dog when he wants to. I remember one episode where the dog walked up to Sookie and Bill and licked Sookie's face. Yeah, that's Sam.

Had to jump in.

Never read any of the books but so far I like the show.

Bill is the reason I love this show. Everything about him I love. How polite he is and how he is with Sookie. I like Sookie around him.

I loved the vampire bar scene when the vampires glided out when the cops raided and Bill picked up Sookie and ran.

I must say I hate Tara. Her accent kills me and those biceps! I wished they would have stuck with the original actress from the first pilot.

Link to episodes: SurfTheChannel - True Blood Its a good site.

You can do a 'Sookie Stackhouse' search on Amazon and all the books in the series will come up.

I just ordered the first one on Amazon for $2. It was used.
But I found all the other ones at the public library. You can check to see if your library has them.

I've read all of them (about 7 so far, I think) in the series and they are fantastic!!! Charlaine Harris is one of my favorite writers. If you are enjoying the show, you will love the books.

I was thinking he was a shape shifter too, until the scene where he was playing catch with that dog.

There is something going on though. In tonight's episode, Sukie said that Sam's thoughts are not always "words" and are sometimes waves of emotion.
Hmmm.

Bet Sam is a wearwolf ... am I spelling that right???

That was a fantastic episode, well, not for her grandma. I bet Sam is the killer. Bill pretty much eliminated it being a possibility that a vamp killed all those people. I don't know, I want Bill and Sookie together. Seeing how Bill was turned was really sad. I wonder if she is still around???
