Interesting episode last night. I definitely think the actress playing Charlie - Tracy Spiridakos - has improved quite a bit. I found her annoying and her acting kind of bad in season 1.

Have they ever explained how all of this electronic equipment has been sitting around for 15 years collecting dust, but can suddenly turn back on? I mean, last season, they activated one of those dampening devices and amplified it, and suddenly their flying a helicopter that had been sitting around for a decade & a half. Did they really have the usable refined oil and gasoline around to power it? I know the fuel stabilizer can work for a while, but 15 years?

Yes, Charlie has come a long way!

When I was selling my parents house, they had an OLD wall air conditioner that hadn't been used in 17 years. I was curious to see if it still worked. I plugged it in and turned it on. It worked. And it worked very well. Now I know that doesn't compare to a helicopter but it worked. I try not to get bogged down by thinking about the questions you brought up and just enjoy the show!

I can't wait for next week. I love this show. I love all the subtle Stephen King references.

um NewJeffCT, if you ever need an explanation for anything the answer is...

Nanites!!!

and if i had to venture and take a guess of what the final scene was all about and the date being March 5, 2014 and all is good in the world is that somehow aarons new code had the nanites return all lights and then repair everything like new and then self destruct???

Aaron woke up in a lavish highrise w/ working toaster and cable tv exactly a week later...hmm
so errythings back to normal?

Did you see Charlie's smile when that woman told Monroe that her soldiers would ONLY take orders from Charlie? I guess this is what happens when you save her life.

I'm thinking an alternate reality where the blackout never happened. None of the main characters knew aaron. Aaron is the only one with any memory of what happened. I wonder if the nanites are trying to make Aaron realize he should save them by showing him a world without nanites.

I'm thinking that's a possibility. And it would then be the world where they were never set free to shut down the world. They know him more than he understands.

It wouldn't be quite the same Aaron either since he did completely and utterly *die*, but then came to life again when they fixed him. They would leave themselves behind in him. He could be lying on the floor of the room where he entered the code, while they give him a trip through wonderland.

Given he was alive due to their repairs, would *he* live if they all died?

Interesting episode this week. Now it makes me wonder what is the intent of these things? They seemed to follow the will of the 3 people that wrote the code, but now it seems they no longer need them. Who knows what they will do next. Are they good guys or bad guys?

Aaron had the chance to stop them, but this may be a good thing. If the power were to come back on with the current state of things, it would probably just make matters worse.

That's what I was thinking - it was an alternate reality where the blackout never happened. Kind of like Cypher asking to be re-inserted into the Matrix, but in some sort of more comfortable position in life. Aaron was re-inserted into this reality in a comfortable position...

I loved the Matrix and Skynet references.

I too didn't suspect the last scene to be another scenario controlled by the nanites till Rachel died. I then thought either they will bring her back if Aaron will fix it OR it's another dream.
