We will be visiting Tucson in November. MrsM and I are meeting up with friends from Yuma while we are on our annual National Parks and Monuments visits. (We decided to quit going over seas and stay at home where we are wanted..not just our money)

Anyway, they are meeting us in Tucson for 2-3 days. We are looking for reasonable hotel in historic area or scenic area. None of us have bee in your city before.

Any suggestions?

With all the fun things to see and do plus the great places to eat, Mike . . . don't blow your budget on a place to sleep.

The Arizona Inn is a very quaint place, however, a nice lunch or even splurge for dinner plus a stroll around the "campus" would definitely do it for me.

MY TWO CENTS WORTH

+/- 100 a night. Other couple are retired. To us, on this trip, hotel is just a place to sleep. We are traveling to see National Parks, historic sights and scenic areas. All we need is a clean and reasonably priced hotel/motel walking distance from historic area. A view would be great also

Bummer makes a very good point...yes, the Az Inn is not in your budget, but it's open to the public for all meals every day (call for a reservation)....can be busy weekday lunches....after eating, walk the famously beautiful grounds and explore the nooks and crannies....privately owned and in the same family since the beginning (1930)....

Tucson is not incredibly walkable....there are only a few historic areas and they don't have views....be ready to drive for some or most things....

It can be a little funky and depending who is there for entertainment it can be a lot noisy, but Hotel Congress is something different.

No TV in your room though...
