LOS ANGELES – Susan Atkins, a follower of cult leader Charles Manson whose remorseless witness stand confession to killing pregnant actress Sharon Tate in 1969 shocked the world, has died. She was 61 and had been suffering from brain cancer.

Atkins' death comes less than a month after a parole board turned down the terminally ill woman's last chance at freedom on Sept. 2. She was brought to the hearing on a gurney and slept through most of it.

Any one see the one interview Manson did. I can see how that guy was able to manipulate people. He is crafty smart.

And are you saying she should have been released? I don't think so. Regardless of her health she is a murderer. Or I should say, she was. I remember too much of the horrible case to have much sympathy for any of them.

I have seen 3 or 4 interviews with Leslie Van Houton, she is the only one I would ever begin to trust.

sorry, I didn't see what you saw in him. I do realize his followers were al strung out of drugs, that helped them believe in him. Of course all leaders like him have a charm that will influence some.
