Of 300+ million citizens, approximately 18k people suffer from brain cancer.
I can't help but wonder if this lady suffered from a bad case of karma.
Hopefully she accepted Jesus before her death. Eternity is no joke.
Well, I personally know 2 very wonderful people who died from brain cancer. Bad things happen to good people. "Karma" and "Jesus" in the same post looks odd to me. It's as if you think God gives people serious diseases, so all the beautiful babies born with birth defects or the children with cancer must have sinned, right? Maybe you think Ted Kennedy was a bad person too? How about David Cook's brother?
Anyway, this isn't a religious forum. So I won't go on...back to the subject. As much as I hate what she did, I'm surprised to see so many posts celebrating the death of another person. However, I'm glad she was denied parole.
Ever read "Helter Skelter"? Fascinating book. Teaches a lot about our crimanal justice system (well, at least Californias) and crime investigation (or lack thereof) A lot of missteps in that investigation. Great read. Get it. Good book.
His book is great, I wore out a couple of paperbacks of it. A differently excellent Manson Family book is The Family by Ed Sanders. <-- this is a Google Books preview of a 2002 update of the 1971 classic.

Thanks. I just read several pages of it, using your link. If he weren't a child rapist, I'd really feel sorry for him, but Polanski apparently suffered great loss in his life. A survivor of the Warsaw Ghetto, his mother was torn away from him and died in a concentration camp, his father was shot by Nazis and his wife and baby were murdered by an evil psychopath.
Crafty smart? He bascially spouts out a coman's BS that only a fool or someone on drugs or with mental problems would think makes any sense at all.
I agree, but he was not an idiot by any means. I wish he were mentally ill. At least if he had a very low IQ or some kind of brain disorder, then he could be a sympathetic character. But even when they gave Linda Kasabian immunity for testifying, I didn't like it. She was an accomplice to several murders. I don't care how much I loved a man or what drug I was on, there is no way I'd stab anyone, especially an 8 month pregnant woman. In 1969 I was in college and I guess you could say I was one of those "hippie" types (smoked pot, tried LSD, wore beads, etc.) but I didn't participate in orgies or kill people, so nobody can blame it on the drugs or the atmosphere of the 60s either.
Isn't it interesting that Polanski was arrested the day after she died? I posted about him before I went to bed and woke up to that story.
Precisely the reason why we now have Obama as the President ..
I was wondering how long this thread would last before some jackass turned the topic into an anti-Obama post...
