At least one of the thugs smirked at the judge. They show no remorse whatsoever.
One received a four year sentence, but he will be released immediately for time already served, the other received an eight-year sentence. However, they both face federal charges and could serve more prison time.
Personally, I feel the jail terms should be much longer.
I agree, the sentences don't seem very long when compared to the long term suffering and incapacity of their victim Bryan Stow. Cases such as this just make you lose faith in human nature, and perhaps the Judge should have added prison time in relation to Sanchez as this might have helped wipe the smirk off his face.
I believe the smirk may have earned the one guy the extra 4 years. Nothing says "lock me up as long as possible" like showing contempt during your sentencing.

I do not understand their light sentences. Hopefully they will get what they deserve on the outside.
