If that were a member of my family that had been harmed, it would be extremely hard for me to suppress the urge for revenge. When a violent scumbag like that gets off with such a light sentence, it really makes me angry. Frontier justice seems awfully enticing in certain situations.
Now they're into it - and this term, they're going to get some hard time.
The feds don't play games. There are mandatory minimum sentences that will be served, and given their already infamous profile, with the God-awful smirk at the sentencing, I suspect that prosecutors will have a little extra motivation in adding to what is a 90 percent conviction rate in federal cases. I also suspect that judges will probably go for the maximum penalty. Better yet, the feds can let the California court system imprison them for 4 to 8 years and then impose the federal sentence on top of the state one.
I don't think we're going to be seeing these bastards for the better part of 15 to 20 years. That's my take. Lots of time to become a prison girlfriend.
why doesn't the family sue the Dodgers owners. It is up to them to provide adequate security. With their money, I would offer to pay his medical bills for the rest of his life. I understand that opens up a can of worms but this is a special case if there ever was one.
Simple stupid punks, heavy security everywhere, because the way it is today you need to have behavior detection and armed officers because crime is rampid, and with ass clowns like these simple stupid idiots, you can never be too secured when it comes to Public Safety.
