I totally agree. But you are giving so much ammo to conspiracy theorists that will repeat urban legends they heard on the internet. I used one of your points as an example and the possible nonsensical "evidence" that such conspiracy theorists "experts" will use, with reality checks in order to diffuse the points:

-But, but, test have proved that it's impossible to make those shots from Oswalds perch in X amount of seconds.
REALITY - Tests have actually proved exactly the opposite. It was an easy shot for someone trained in weapons. Some of the early theories saying it was "impossible" were due to incorrect estimates of the shooting time.

-But, but, the target was moving and too far away for one to have gotten hits from Oswald's perch.
REALITY - the shot was relativly close with the scope. Oswald was above and behind his target, an ideal spot. The target was moving, but moving away in a gradually straight line. Oswald was not required to lead the target to compensate for speed and movement.

-But, but, interview with his fellow marines indicated he was a bad shot -
REALITY - maybe one squadmate indicated he was a bad shot. That is subjective and opinionated, in contrast to objective tests by the US Marine Corps marksman training. He had his marksman ribbon, case closed. Actually, maybe he was a bad shot, it took him I think 4 shots to get the kill shot, with one being a complete miss, at a relativly easy target. Subpar performance for a trained marine.

-But, but - Oswald was using a defective scope as it was found to be misaligned when tested later.
REALITY - the rifle was handled by various law enforcement personell before finally tested. Likely the scope was banged around a bit during handling. Not a big deal.

-But, but - Oswald was using a cheap obsolete rilfe, it couldn't be capable of shooting JFK.
REALITY - the model of Carcano rifle Oswald used to kill JFK served the italian military faithfully during 2 world wars with success. In fact they are still seeing service today (i.e. - militia used them in Libya action recently).

Thanks for the replies, you know what?
It has honestly never even crossed my mind that Oswald acted alone, maybe you are right.
I never got real involved in solving it but figured it was the mob because they always use to get even with anybody who crossed them.
It is true, we will never know. Just wondered what others had settled on after all these years have gone by.

I recently watched a tv presentation of the murder of Mary Pinchot Meyer. Then I looked her story up in Wikipedia.

She was friends with Kennedy. There was, as in the Marylin Monroe case, a missing diary. Dorothy Killgallen also died with notes missing. Dorothy had been the only reporter who got an interview with Ruby and told her friend the night before that she was going to go public with the information, but died that night or the next day before she could.

Anyway, Mary Meyer's husband was in the CIA. He kept his mouth shut until on his deathbed and then he was asked who killed his ex wife. He said
"The same sons of ******* that killed John F. Kennedy."

Her husband was not a conspiracy theorist. He knew. I think he meant the CIA or some branch of the military.

There was a lot of pressure put on Kennedy, during the Cuban missile crisis, to bomb. That would have started, probably, a war with the Soviets. Those pressuring Kennedy to bomb seriously thought we could win such a war and come out of it being the greatest and only power in the world.

Marilyn and Mary were pacifists, some might say with Communist leanings. Dorothy had a big mouth.

He was killed, I think by our own government. Why else would our government try to whitewash and cover up what really happened? If it were some other influence we would have warred on like we are doing in retaliation for 911. No, it was elements in our own government, probably part of the 'military industrial complex' that Eisenhower tried to warn us about.

Few people, at the time, believed the Warren Commission. There seemed more obstruction by the government than revelation. Lyndon Johnson got so fed up with the controversy that he said the entire evidence that was compiled by the government would be sealed for one hundred years and then made public. I had heard that the information has disappeared.

There were polls at the time and over half the public did not believe the official story. I don't.

Oswald acted alone. Ruby acted on impulse since Oswald was supposed to be gone by the time Ruby got there.

I have been hearing these theories since it happened. Most make no sense. The worst one is Roselli jumping out a manhole and shooting JFK.
That is what I beleive alos; the lone killer which has always been the most dangerous assissin.

Lee Harvey Oswald was a communist sympathizer. He was indocrinated by Cuban communists when he was in Cuba. I believe his wife was Russian. Any adult who lived through that time period knows Oswald acted alone. Ruby was a super US patriot and killed Oswald out of hatred. There was no conspiracy only one gunman and he got lucky with his shot.

Well that's the theory that I don't believe. The most preposterous in my eyes.

I have often thought the "Bay of Pigs" fiasco made some Cubans angry enough to engage a loner....provide support and back up to him....
