Whoever wrote the note also knew that they would only get one shot at writing the note or else risk having the police discover the practice notes in the house. That's why the note kept rambling on because the author discovered omissions and couldn't do it over. An outsider would not have that problem. He would take the other notes and the pen with him. An outsider would try to reveal as little information in the note as possible beyond the disposition of the girl and the contact information for the exchange of the ransom for the girl.
Or a very talented sociopath who wanted to throw suspision in Patsy Ramseys direction.
What are the odds of that? I mean the odds are greater that Patsy wrote the note vs. a "talented sociopath". I gave her the benefit of the doubt all these years but it always seemed odd to me about the ransom note. I've read MANY things about other crimes where the perpetrator breaks in, takes the child out of the home, violates him/her and dumps him/her in a lake, remote area, etc. But to leave the child IN the home and then WITH a ransom note.... it just doesn't add up.
But WHY would she want to kill her own child? If she did do it she was one sick puppy and the fact that she got cancer and died...well karma and all that jazz. That's IF she did it.

Nothing in Patsy's history would point to her killing her own child. It had to be a set-up. There are too many other pieces that don't add up, such as: unknown animal hair was found on the duct tape. The hair was also found on JonBenet's hands. If Patsy Ramsey had used the tape, then it would have been SHE who transferred it to the tape in the first place. If Patsy had struggled with JonBenet, the hair on JonBenet's hands would have been transfered on to Patsy. Another: fibers on a baseball bat matched those from a carpet in the basement. The bat was found outside the house. If Patsy killed her daughter, what possible reason would she have to take it outside the house and place it on the ground? She obviously knew that it would soon be discovered so why not just leave it in the basement? And on and on....
I seriously doubt she intended on killing her own kid. Christmas time, stress, rage, and anything else that fits into the mix could have been the ingredients.
Who knows what goes on in someone else's life or house or psyche/head? We all keep fascades up to keep us looking "good," ie)social persona. People who have more to lose keep stronger persona's up. If in a fit of rage, this happened, then the cover-up followed.
I think the note is crazy, non-sensical, not someone who would think things through before hand, like someone who wants the child for money/ransom. More like the mind of someone coming un-glued.
And, again, Christmas time, is a time for higher dysfunction, among dyfunctional families.

Yeah..I've given this women the benefit of the doubt too.
If Patsy Ramsey did commit that crime to her child ( the crime photos give you and idea of what kind of criminal they're looking for) and then turn around and give the convincing press coverage....she was sociopath.
But I tend to agree more with CA4NOW.
