That makes me think suburban sprawl. Most people visit the city's core, when they go somewhere, and good connectivity/rail access makes a place feel more urban.

I agree, but doesn't most every major city have suburban sprawl, and isn't that sprawl factored into the size of the city? Urbanity and the size of a city are two different things. I agree Uptown Dallas has most parts of Houston beat in urbanity, urban is just one of the later things I think about when comparing city sizes. Otherwise Honolulu and Vancouver would be some of the largest cities in N.A.

uuhh i wouldn't go that far.

And Houston has several other light rail lines u/c right now, supposed to be opening before the year's out.
