We've gotten to the point where our state is attracting an influx of migrants, public transportation is a key for some migrants. That on an overall basis does affect the "state" as well.

LOL
Even without the extension, Dallas still has the best rail network in this area of the country with buses connecting to the rail.

The only bad thing is the DFW connector is lost. Other than that, the Dallas rail network looks good.

This is true. Dallas has the best rail network, until Houston's Phase II is completed in 2013 of course. Dallas' only competition on "in this area of the country" anyway is Houston.

When it is complete, you guys can brag. Until then, Houston's rail may very well be subject to the same problems Dallas' has been. Houston's phase two wont make Houston's better, but it probably will even the playing field.

I don't brag about it even now. I only say I like the look better, and that's pretty much all I give it above Dallas presently.

The city that needs a lot of help with mass transit is San Antonio though... has got to be the worst Public Transportation city in the top 10 cities by population. (No offense)

Yup, and Dallas will always have the upper hand until METRORail or some form of METRO Commuter Rail expands into the suburbs, or at least out of the 610 loop, to truly make our transit system a service and asset to the metropolitan area, and not just a service to Inner Houston.

You have to connect the inner areas first before bringing in the suburban commuters via rail. Three of the new light rail lines will be outside of Loop 610 (or have sections outside it), though just barely.

You mean to tell me you've never seen those white & green Woodlands Express buses? I always see them on I-45 North.
