It'll probably be 1000 ft. Including some type of spire or something....just my guess.

It better be.. This state could use a good old fashioned skyscraper war..

But if Dallas (temporarily) beats out Houston with a spire I'm not going to be happy. Haha

It's definitely going to need a spire to break a 1000 feet at 1.5 million square feet.

So, hypothetically speaking, if Dallas did build Texas' new tallest building, would you:
  1. leave the forum?
  2. start to rep Dallas?
  3. create a new name akin to "Texas'SecondTallest"?

Temporarily? I don't see Houston building a supertall in the foreseeable future unless you have a lenient definition of the word temporary.

Dallas would have to get 3 super talls for me to need to change my name.

Unless.....it's a very stylish over the top Dallas-esque design....(which he is shooting for)....It probably would have small floorplates that vary........picture how the Burg Dubai is designed(or whatever the new name is)

I don't think I've ever seen "very stylish" and "over the top" used in the same sentence..
The Dallas building will be nothing like the Burj Khalifa.. The design doesn't make any sense economically. It's a status symbol. Nothing more.. Nothing less. I don't see someone building something as stupid as the Burj here in the US.

I wouldn't mind a spire...only if the building itself is over 1000 ft.

Since this a competition, I bet the deisgns will be very interesting. Seeing potential designs from architects all over the world, has got me very excited!
