What's the Eiffel Tower doing in Houston? I think this developer has a few loose screws, Eiffel Tower or not.

"We acknowledge local concerns regarding the energy industry and its impact on our market, but we have been advised this will be a brief period of correction specific to the energy industry," Bland said in the statement. "Houston will persevere and continue to evolve into one of the premier cities in the country. Our location within proximity to the River Oaks District and confidence in Houston long-term has led us to charge ahead."

The campus — two 10-story, 515,000-square-foot buildings on 26 acres — comes at a time when Southwestern is betting big on natural gas, buying new acreage and assets, and even increasing its capital expenditures going into 2015 at a time when most oil and gas exploration companies are scaling back because of declining commodities prices.

The intent is to even hire more talented workers who are cut by other companies because of budgetary axing, Chairman and CEO Steve Mueller told the Houston Business Journal in January.
The new campus features a lot more amenities and is being used as an employee recruiting and retention tool for the growing energy company that is focused mostly on natural gas exploration and production.
