I can deal with the heat. I just wish we could have some more rain.

We had nice rainstorms on the west side of Houston both Thursday and Friday last week. This week, back to dry and 100s.

I know one thing. I can't wait until fall comes. My favorite season temperature wise. I've lived in Texas most of my life but I've never gotten used to humidity. Dry heat I can deal with better.

Yes, mid October to mid April can be really nice here.

The rest of the year is a mix of sauna and blast furnace and terrible.

I personally think Texas winters get pretty dang cold.. ..much colder than I thought they did. Just not much ice/snow compared to northern states, but it can get dang cold here.

Thing is, it rarely lingers more than 2-3 days at a time, unlike northern states, where cold is the default for months, broken by occasional warmups or by bouts of severe cold. Oh, and the sun doesn't come out.

This is so true!

I complain every summer about the heat but when winter and blessed, beautiful spring come along, I am so grateful that I live here.
