What do I think? Let's see...If I earn $100K a year living in NYC or San Fran, I would be living in a rat infested closet. Here in SA, I can make half that much, living in a brand new townhome...that I own outright. So, I guess I don't give a rat's a** about the list.

I won't challenge you on any of that , but what do you think cause so many people to do the unthinkable and live in places like San Francisco NYC Los Angeles and Chicago.

The list is as ridiculous as most of these biased lists that purport to reveal some great undiscovered difference about the various states. The list conveniently ignores the fact that so-called wealthy Maryland sits on the back of tax-fed Washington D.C. like a dog tick on a fat hound dog.

I don't know why my "spirit" would be dampened now. I doubt we have ever made the top ten list for the most wealthiest states, or the top ten list for the best schools and so on. What many fail to realize is we have a continous influx of immigrants who are quite poor. So, frankly I don't give a rat's ass. Thank you for your concern though.

I'd take this list with a grain of salt. There should be a salary to COL index or something.
