Same in Houston and Ft Worth and much, much higher than that down in the Valley.

*Yawn*

I could NOT care less.

Why would anybody care? Most of us just love Texas, and are not on an ego trip, despite what many seem to think. If you are here to pick a fight, you won't get one from me, LOL!

Whether Texas makes this list or that list.....irrevelvant, and in most cases, the opinion isn't worth considering.

Im from Boston. Let me put it this way unless your very rich or on welfare its very hard to live a comfortable life there. I moved to Dallas 2 years ago bought a 2200 sq ft house 5 years old for 140k and make 20k less than I did in Boston. I couldnt live how I live in Dallas in Boston. They can take that list and shove it. Ill keep my lower income and a house than paying rent anyday

We don't care, that's our opinion. I didn't check your link. Texas has provided great opportunities for us and we are prospering.

I consider Texas a great state with a lot to offer and believe that it's a shoe in to make the top ten list.

Fair enough. I apologize if my post came off as harsh. I am a New York native and have no ill will towards California or its residents. I could see how native Texans might feel differently, however.

So Tarrant County beat out Travis, Harris, & Dallas County in median household income not bad.
