If there are then tell us what you like or dislike about San Angelo. For me its just the right size town. Not too big and not too little.

We lived there for 15 years and you are right. The people are the best you'll find anywhere.

Pro & Con - Angelo is isolated and you've got to travel a ways to get out of town. It's a pretty tight community, and you're only a native if your Great Grandfather moved there in 1915.

Like a lot of west Texas towns, the whole city turns out for Friday night football. People who graduated 40 years ago still go to the games. Those games can pack 25k into a high school stadium.

Rule #1 - Never say anything bad about anybody. They are either all related or went to school together.

The Mexican Food & Steak Houses are some of the Best in TX and the USA.

It is the Garden Spot of West TX with a few lakes.

The Deer Hunting is some of the best in TX.

And most importantly, Angelo is it's a great place to raise kids.

DH and I are both ASU alumni. If we could have found decent-paying jobs, we would have stayed there!!

What did you like or dislike the most ?

Reminds me, I wouldn't want to live anywhere that did not have a college. It keeps the town youthful and active.

Definitley some nice lakes and good people here. I love the green trees in the spring and summer here and theres alot of places to have good BBQ . Cost of living is cheap too. And on the 4th of July I love going to Twin Buttes and shooting off massive amounts of fireworks. Lots of people show up there on the 4th. Alot of fun.

We always went to the Pops concerts on the 4th down by the river. Do they still do ?

Since Angelo is isolated and not a lot of things to do, we actually attended more cultural events like the symphony, the Theater, etc then we do here in DFW. We always exposed our kids to the cultural aspects which today as adults they have an appreciation for the arts.

We sold our house there and it cost about 50% more to buy a home up here when we moved.

Yep they still do the pops concerts on the 4th. And thats definitely a good thing. I'm glad we are finally out of the triple digit temperatures now. Its been about 87 in the day now which is nice and 70's at night. Overnight low in the 60's. August was extra hot. I think we broke some record for having so many consecutive days of over 100 degree weather. But thats why I wear my trusty camouflage ball cap. lol

We loved West Texas in general. The climate, friendly people, good steakhouses, etc.

The only dislike was lack of good-paying jobs once we graduated. Local businesses were reluctant to hire ASU grads...?

I moved to San Angelo in April and LOVE it here. I used to live in the Panhandle for about 13 years. San Angelo is small but has everything you need, it's green, it's pretty, low cost of living, great people! I never want to leave!
