He didn't do it in the public eye Einstein in was at a private party with a jerk with a cell phone camera
As far as the police in South Carolina looking more into this. It makes sense from a law enforcement point of view. The police are looking at this differently from the general public who thinks it's just college kids smoking weed.
The police want to know more like what other drugs were at that party(cocaine, heroin etc)? Who was the supplier of this marijuana? The police are thinking that this could lead to the arrest of a major or significant drug dealer. So the police aren't just going to leave this alone.

Sorry, but it's just a stupid official from the Carolinas trying to gain national publicity like the idiot prosecutor from the Duke Lacrosse case.
Making a big deal about a frat party at USC (a huge party school) is pathetic and merely a publicity grab at the expense of the lives of 8-9 people. Obviously the pot use didn't lead to some horrible incident, as it only came out months later via some cell-phone picture, so this is simply a moronic crusade by an idiot trying to build up his name.

Anytime a cop arrests someone with drugs the first questioned asked is where did you get the drugs? Same with the Phelps case. This could lead to something bigger in the police's mind.
