quality individual up to this point - learned how to win, be a champions, treat people respectful......pretty much a 180-degreer compared to TW......keep it real, Jordan......
Tiger should consider skipping the British Open. The landscape and weather over there will have few safe places for the ball to land to stay out of trouble. If he could not manage Chambers Bay with perfect weather and no pot bunkers, St. Andrews could be a missed cut.
Jordan is the favorite at 4-1. If we could take the 1-4 and go against him we would. Pot bunkers, weather, strong field with many who play the links courses year after year on the European tour would make a Spieth win miraculous.
His chances at the PGA seem better.

I'm sure he'll take that advice into consideration. After all, he's only won The Open there twice, not to mention setting the record for most strokes under par in ANY major.
Yes, that's an entirely different person then the one that we're seeing today. But seriously...
Another major site has more current British Open odds. Rory is 11-2, Jordan 7-1, then it drops off fast to Dustin Johnson at 16-1, a few other big names are Mickelson 30-1, Woods 60-1, Tom Watson 500-1.
It is hard to believe Tom Watson won his 5 Open titles on 5 different courses in a span of 9 years. St. Andrews was a place where he failed and had seven chances there and did finish second in 1984. Harry Vardon won 6 times but over a 19 year span.
Sadly Watson will make his final Open appearance. If he plays well he can hang around even par. He's proven that. I hope he makes the cut. If not his final walk down 18 will be televised the morning of July 17.
wow, watched a few holes of this weekends tournament and have to admit that golf might be the most boring professional sport around - and I've gone to 30-50 rounds of PGA, LPGA, Senior, Euro tour events. These players need to be on a shot clock when they're putting - taking too damn long to putt the ball.

Matter of opinion I guess. Personally I think soccer, baseball and track and field are far more boring to watch than golf. When a potential million dollars is riding on you making a putt or not, you would take that time too. Real golfers understand the fine points of the game and can appreciate what it takes to perform at the level of pro golf.
It looks like Tiger may be playing the Greenbrier Classic in his preparation for The British Open.
