Golf Futures - Pro Golf and PGA Future Sportsbook Odds at VegasInsider.com

Odds on all sports give us all a chance to be amused by who is the favorite, etc. Rory was the favorite until his injury. Tiger played well at the Greenbrier. And had won here at St. Andrews and though we were surprised to see him 5th he was rated above quite a few other good ones capable of winning the Open.

Maybe he can shoot 3 under today and squeeze into the field. We hope so.

First the U.S. Open sucked. Now the British Open blows. Golf keeps taking the hits. What could happen at the PGA?

We just started watching it which are replays before the weather delay. I hope the weather delay is not due to wind. That is part of the Open. The only thing that should stop play is lightening or rains so heavy the greens get soaked.

8:15 am: Yes they are in a wind delay. That is BS.

One heck of a run by Jordan Spieth... gut-wrenching to fall 1 stroke short of the playoff and keeping that chance alive for the grand slam.

Amazing though that he had six 3-putts this week including the 4-putt today on the 8th.... ouch!

With all that said.. still an amazing feat... Back-to-back wins and a 4th place here at the Open.... against 409 total competitors in the 3 majors on 3 men finished ahead of him.

Amazing that an American wins arguably the greatest trophy in golf (winning the Claret Jug at St. Andrews) and it wasn't even trending on Facebook.

I wonder if his faith (Christianity) has anything to do with the lack of coverage of such an amazing accomplishment by one of our own.

Like a lot of people I wanted to see history (and an American in Spieth) win the first three majors being captured...however if there was one other person close to the top (other than DJ) that could have won it, I could not be happier that ZJ pulled it off.

I've seen people on WRX say that his game/swing is "boring" - I am the exact opposite - I find his swing to be one of the best to watch in the world. Very efficient; very beautiful, IMO. He's a grinder - loved seeing him hole out from the fairway against Tiger to win the World Challenge back in '13.

I think the lack of coverage is simply because Johnson is not exactly a popular (albeit underrated) golfer. I guarantee if DJ, Speith, Fowler, Watson, etc. won, you'd hear more about it. Most people that don't follow golf would probably not even know who he is.

I am one of those that don't particularly care for his golf swing. It is certainly efficient. And with two majors, you can't argue the effectiveness of it. However, that lack of rotation/release that far past impact just looks "different".
