Never heard of him. Guess I don't know much about the up and coming golfers....I prefer "known", "established" players who've won elsewhere on the tour to win the Players (and the majors as well).
Never heard of him either but he certainly was solid down the stretch. Last group were choking dogs. That had to be a tough back 9. I'm sure they just wanted off the course.
Recognize the name, but I would have not been able to pick that kid out of a line up. Great poise though. That 3W he striped down the 18th was pretty impressive. I was half expecting him to block it way right since a double bogey would have still won it for him.
But I guess that's why he's collecting the trophy. Heard he got his tour card at 17, so had to wait until he turned 18 to actually play. The kids obviously got game.
Apparently Kim also has 21 months of military duty out there yet to serve. All South Korean men are required to serve as the war is technically not over. That has to weigh a bit on his ambitions and possible momentum.

No reason that this kid can't win @ Augusta with that game.

Kinda like Bae Sang-Moon, who had to quit the tour for awhile.....is he back?
S. Koreans take their military service seriously. Good thing. They need to with Trump's friend in N. Korea shooting ballistic missiles.
Kim could definitely win the Masters. If he continues to strike the ball like he did on 18, with all the pressure, then he can win anywhere. Seems like his problem is his back, which isn't a great problem to have at 21. Starting on the tour at 17 and all that balls he's hit over that stretch probably isn't going to be good for the future. Time will tell.
No idea about Sang-moon. 2 years a long time out of the action.
That approach by Hahn was spectacular. Too bad it didn't go. Felt a bit gypped by the playoffs. Outside of majors, you just don't expect those putts to be missed. Especially by someone like Day. Congrats to Horschel though.
