The only meaningful difference between the Aussie episode and the rest is that the Australian Cricket Board took it seriously and imposed very long bans. Note that the ICC ban was one match for Smith only.

Hopefully other Cricket boards will take the lead of the ACB.

The idea that only three players in that team knew what was going on is laughable.
The ACB did the bare minimum white-wash because the three were caught red-handed.
The Australians have been the bye-word for being cheats and sore losers for years which is why they're loathed across the cricketing world.
Which is a shame because they used to have a great team that didn't need to cheat.
Of course a fish rots from the head down.
Darren Lehmann once urged Aussie crowds to send Stuart Broad home in tears for not walking.
Then begs everyone to go easy on the cheating three when they got caught.
Australia's capitulation in the WC SF was pitiful to watch - let's hope they put up a stiffer fight in the Ashes.

Whoa, England bowled out for 85. I haven't seen their lineup so I'll allow that England may be resting up some of their top players between the Cup and the Ashes... but is Ireland emerging as a force to be reckoned with?

England Team looks very different as compared to their world Cup squad. most people have been rested I think. Or their Test Squad is vastly different then their One Day !!! Only 5 players I think from world Cup winning team.

Ever see the movie The Great White Hype where a bottom-feeder boxer fights a washed-up former champ? He lands what he thinks is a knock-out blow, unblocked, square on the former champ's jaw, The champ reels a bit, gets his footing back, looks the bottom feeder square in the eye, shouts "are you trying to embarrass me on TV?!?!" and then proceeds to pound the ever-lovin' shi'ite out of him?

Yeah, that's what this match reminded me of.

ICC launches World Test Championship

Why have 12 teams with test status if you'll only let 9 vie for the test championship? Why bother adding Ireland and Afghanistan recently only to shut them out of contention before the tournament even starts? On the flipside, why not just admit Zimbabwe Cricket is a lost cause and no longer worthy of test status?

The ECB are also hoping the new 'the hundred' game becomes poplular when it is launched next summer.

The Hundred (cricket) - Wikipedia

The Hundred | 100 Ball Cricket | TheHundred.com‎

The eight city teams will be -

Manchester Originals based at Old Trafford, Manchester

Northern Superchargers based at Headingley, Leeds

Birmingham Phoenix based at Edgbaston, Birmingham

Trent Rockets based at Trent Bridge, Nottingham

Welsh Fire based at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff

London Spirit based at Lord's, London

Oval Invincibles based at The Oval, London

Southern Brave based at Ageas Bowl, Southampton

Bit sad that Durham has not been included, and they have a good ground and that region won't have much representation, Bristol or Taunton could also be included in terns of the South West as as they both have decent grounds.

Atrocious Umpiring by Joel Wilson from West Indies. Atleast 2 Australian Batsman were not out - wrongly given LBW. How many times one will refer to DRS ?

Neutral Umpire does not mean that you start hiring below par individuals.

Sadly Smith was one of the main culprits in the cheating scandal, however his performace just proved that he didn't need to lower himself to cheating (and crying in front of the world) in the first place.
