Bowling and Catching by Australians was great on 2nd day. Ashes win is almost there. Warner did not disappoint as Slip Catcher.

Jeesh. Just when you thought England had set themselves up well by holding Australia to 179.

An England win for the history books at Headingley, and Stokes was just brilliant to watch.

What a performance by Stokes. His name will go down in history leading the victory in one of the greatest test matches of all time. although we lost it was worth the late night to witness it. One day cricket and 20:20 just can’t ever compare to the real thing.

Nathan Lyon won’t sleep tonight and hopefully the West Indian umpire won’t either.

Or Paine for wasting a review.
As he has done a number of times in this series.

Yes he will lament that for a long time and will no doubt cause nightmares. In his press conference he acknowledged that he hasn't got one right at all this series. The wasted one was perhaps his worst yet but he relied on the bowler who said he thought it pitched in line. Desperation sure impacts decision making!

However, that a top ranked umpire can't get a plumb LBW decision correct should be a worry to all Cricket fans. It wasn't even close. And he doesn't have the emotion and desperation excuse, or the fact that he is behind the wicket and can't see the pitch of the ball. The man has had 12 decisions over turned in two test matches! And a few others that would have been if further reviews were available.

I can see a future where all appeals will be reviewed unfortunately. We are in this crazy limbo land where umpiring standards have declined because of DRS in my opinion. And unfortunately we have shifted the umpiring onus to the team Captains. I think we need to get to all or nothing on the DRS. DRS was mean't to prevent the "howler" decision like this one.

But none of that is the fault of Ben Stokes. He deserves a Knighthood! Brilliant.
