Is there any interest on here for a discussion on all things cricket?

not fan of bat and ball games. Not popular at all where I live. Aren't the games too long?

I haven't played crickets but have played cricket in a Sunday League (opening bowler). Steady length and on or just outside the off stump (McGrath style but not the same level) was tried and tested successful method.

Cricket can get a bit boring sometimes (if you are not playing) particularly during the test matches. I like football the best.

Barring England and West Indies (collection of Caribbean Nations), no country play Cricket as far as Europe and Americas is concerned.
There is some interest in USA about Cricket but it is limited to immigrant communties of India and Pakistan.

This is shaping up to be an exciting World Cup. There are a handful of dominant teams but it wouldn't surprise anyone if many of the so-called underdogs scored some upset victories.

Here's my odds list:

1) England
2) India
3) Australia
4) South Africa
5) New Zealand
6) Windies
7) Pakistan
8) Afghanistan
9) Sri Lanka
10) Bangladesh

I think India would be the current favourites, however England are at home.

As well as the World Cup, the Ashes are in England later in the year.

India may be #1 in test rankings but remember the World Cup is ODI format. That's where England moves from #4 to #1.

India are up there with England in terms of ODI.

England are at home, however I just feel India are all round a very good team.

I don't know how much value home field advantage will give them versus India. There will probably be damn near as many India fans in the stands as England fans.
