Nadal will have a tough enough time getting to the semi.
But, even as a Djoker fan, anything can happen at the French.
Murray is very solid, and of course Stan Wawrinka is still dangerous but unpredictable. (could go out early, or could catch fire and win it).

That's what everyone said last year.

When was the last time that a top 2 ranked player had to play 5 sets at the first AND second rounds at a Grand Slam?

Monstrous news, the most decorated French Open champion ever, and best male player at any Slam, has pulled out:

Nadal Withdraws From Roland Garros 2016 | ATP World Tour | Tennis

Really? That statement is inaccurate and at best, misleading, and this comes from a Nadal fan.

The best male player at 1 particular Slam is correct.
Nadal has won 9 French Opens, Federer and Sampras both won 7 Wimbleodons.
And I am a Djokovic fan (+ Agassi and Lendl back in the day), and not a fan of any of the above 3 players!
In the Open Era on both sexes, only 1 is equal, Martina Navratalova won 9 Wimbledons on the WTA tour.

That statement should be "....the most decorated French Open champion ever, and best male player at any one Slam, has pulled out."

The Quarter Finals are going to be unexciting. There is only one potential fun Semi; Murray vs. Wawrinka. The Final is going to be boring unless it's Wawrinka vs. Djokovic again.

Djokovic vs Murray would be equally exciting.

Equally? Nah, because Murray looks vulnerable at R1, R2, and certainly beyond vulnerable at Final against Djokovic.
