i was thinking about curt gowdy, i forgot to add him to one of my lists, dick enberg is another excellent choice. i also really likes listening to joe garagiola also on saturday afternoon when nbc had their baseball game of the week.

I remember listening to this guy when I was a kid and initially being turned off by his voice. But as I got older, I realized that he truly was a smart, insightful announcer, a far cry from the chatterboxes of today.
