Nice start for the Hammers today…they’ve always had a problem with Newcastle. If they sign a couple more players for depth by the deadline, they could have an even better season ahead.

The Spurs look much more cohesive without Morinho’s imposition, and will be better without the self-described Best Manager in the World. Perhaps the same will be said by losing The Best Player in England also.

For some reason, I don't know why, but I'm getting big "Ewing theory" vibes from Tottenham this year. I really do think Son and even Lucas Moura could do for Nuno in North London what Raul Jimenez did for Nuno in Wolverhampton: be a consistent presence in front of net, and like Jimenez neither Son or Lucas need the ball through them at all times. I don't even think Kane fits Nuno's system all that, and if he stays its just going to be awkward between the two of them all year. I'm hoping ends up getting him so this saga can end.

No lies detected.

Chelsea looked good, Man Utd looked very good, Arsenal looked like Arsenal.

Great opening weekend.

right!!! its getting frustrating, i am afraid Arteta might not make it to 10 games, especially seeing as we have Spurs, City and Chelsea coming up soon

Arsenal are a weird one, at times they look half decent at other times they look terrible, they remind me a bit of Lampards Chelsea.

Thus the reason why Chelsea got rid of him. Arsenal needs to do the same to Arteta. But it's not just him. Edu also needs to go. They had to win that Brentford game with the two games on the horizon. They could conceivably end August with 0 points or 1 point at the most. It really doesn't get any easier after the International Break. The NLD is at the end of September. I truly think that if they are something like 12th or worse by Halloween, Arsenal will change coaches.

They need at least 10 points in the Norwich/Burnley/Spurs/Brighton/Palace and Villa stretch of games. If not then Arsenal is cooked, that's probably gonna end up being their easiest stretch of games so they better take advantage of it.
