No. The idea is extremely unappealing to me. After all, what if I am choking, have a heart attack, have a stroke, et cetera and need some urgent immediate assistance?
What if I am alone and something life-threatening happens to me (heart attack, tiger attack, meteorite impact, Charles Manson escapes from prison and sneaks through my window, etc)?
a) I live forever.
b) I die.
Sarcasm aside, for most folks who like living alone, the things you mention are not factors they deem worthy of consideration. The benefits outweigh those potential drawbacks.
I live alone now and I'm fine with it but it wasn't always that way. I used to share my bedroom with someone, but things didn't work out and now he's gone. At first I felt really uncomfortable as we were together for many years, but I gradually started to get used to it. As time went on, I found I like sleeping alone and seem to get a better nights rest. My dog sleeps in a bed right near me and he seems very content with that person being gone.
I sometimes have friends come visit and always keep my place clean in case someone drops by unexpectedly. As I've moved on in my life from bad relationships that were draining me, I find myself being alone more than before and I'm really okay with that.
Isn't he 80-something now? Unless he had a gun he might not be much of a threat anymore. But a genuine creep for sure.
Yeah that's true, but even a weapon wouldn't bother me as long as he didn't try to use it, because I'm armed too. I'm sure he'd have a lot to say after all this time, lol.

I love it. I don't get lonely, ever, at least not yet in life (at 27) and am happy in my own space, so it works pretty well.
