At least it's snowing in December, not on April 19th.

Default December 2008 Storm --consolidation thread

25-40 MPH winds predicted nearer to Lake Washington, 40-70 MPH winds up closer to the Cascades.

I think I'll be happy if I just wind up without a tree crashing into the house by Sunday afternoon, but I figure..... 2 days.

If I remember right, in November 2006 it was out for 5 days in Issaquah.

Yeah, I got canned ham, some bread, beef stew in a tin and checked my Mr. Heater out yesterday. The Coleman stove is working and the grill burners are all working, including the side burner. I got some Coleman emergency candles and made sure the D cells for the Coleman lantern were still good. Gonna charge up my portable battery thingies tomorrow. I'm good for 2 or 3 days easy.

Hopefully people will be more careful with those generators and charcoal cookers this time around, if the power goes out. There were an awful lot of deaths back in that 2006 storm, as discussed in the Wikipedia piece.

I hope there's some way to vent the exhaust from that thing outside, even propane can give off small amounts of carbon monoxide. Maybe not enough to kill you, but it could cause some health problems.
