Hello, could anyone give me some suggestions on choosing mobile carriers in San Diego? What are those most preferred carriers there? I'd appreciate your input.

Top three from what I see is
3rd-At&T
2nd-Kricket Wireless
1st-Verizon Wireless

But that's only from what I have seen.I had AT&T(default Cingular Wireless) in 2006,2007 and part of 2008 and they sucked
Had VRZN from early 2008-present and it's great.

I had AT&T for years, and had coverage problems in some areas.. The straw that broke the camel's back was when I moved to South Park and I had no phone reception in my house at all- I had to walk out to the middle of the street to take a call without worrying about it being dropped. This was in the middle of the city, on a mesa (not in a canyon or anything like that).

Switched to Verizon about 2 years ago and haven't had a single issue with calls/coverage.

Verizon is the way to go in San Diego. I've tried Sprint, TMobile, and AT&T. All 3 have areas with zero coverage. Verizon ain't perfect but it's the best in town.

I've had T-Mobile for years, and never had a problem with coverage anywhere.

Verizon here. Had AT&T, but switched when I couldn't get signal in my apt. in UTC. Versizon worked much better there.

I had that problem with AT&T with my first floor apartment in University Heights; it was very annoying not being able to get quality phone service inside your home. Now that I'm in a single-family home, reception has not been an issue at all.

Other than that issue, AT&T has worked fine for me in San Diego

I have had T-mobile for 7 years personally and Verizon for business 2 years...both are pretty equal in terms of reception around much of the county.
