can anyone give me info on the mobile home parks in the area?

we are in New Jersey and bought a mobile about 7 months ago after living in a house for a long time. i am very glad we didn't wind up renting!!

my son screams!! so thankful we are not sharing walls with anyone.

anyway he is also physically disabled and i really want to leave winter behind...he is 13 now and i carried him a lil bit in the snow last week...not good!

thanks in advance!

Trailer parks seem to be more prevalent in East County, there are plenty in Santee, Lakeside, and the outskirts of El Cajon. I've seen some with pretty sweet hill top views in Santee and around Lake Jennings.

I grew up in a mobile home as it is common practice where I am from (South Texas) to buy a large plot of land, put a trailer on it, live in it for a few years and work your way up to eventually building a house after some time.

But I know nothing about the local trailer parks other than I see plenty on a daily basis in East County.

They are all over but if you have a noise problem further out from the big City is probably a good choice for you.

the noise problem is my son being loud and not sharing walls with anyone.

is san diego loud, do you hear outside noise while sleeping?

do you specifically know about any mobile parks in santee, the schools are rated decent. how does one figure out the reputations of the parks without being able to visit?

i guess that question would be hard to answer....

Here's something you can look at to get an idea of the safety of the parks and neighborhoods: Crime Mapping - Building Safer Communities! (Many of the areas around here have their own law-enforcement agency, so check the list to see which ones to map.)

Space rents usually run from $800 per month to $1,100 per month in San Diego County. This company is good.

Available Homes: TLC Manufactured Homes

The sales people at TLC can tell you what parks are good or not so good. I don't work for TLC but have met some of their sales people and they seem honest. It is the high space rent in San Diego that is the killer. In Arizona you can live in beautiful mobile home parks, buy a new home for $75,000 and the space rent is $400. Here everything is double or triple. But of course we are all paying for the good weather.

There are trailer parks sprinkled throughout san diego county. There are even some coastal ones up around O'side and Carlsbad.
