Hell all, I’m so glad I found this site I really would appreciate your advice/expertise

We are relocating to San Diego for my husband’s job; we are from the Silicon Valley area (Santa Cruz) I know we will not be able to find something exactly like Santa Cruz, but what wonder what neighborhood might work for us.
It does not matter what part of San Diego as he mostly works from home. We are in our early 30’s no kids just doggies. We have to be by the ocean and be able to walk or bike places. We are vegetarian and prefer a farmers market near by or some type of health food store like Whole Foods. We are gay friendly and well we are kind of weird we know that a hippie type community would work great with artsy, organic, vegetarian dog lovers. lol. I know we will never find the prefect neighborhood, but somewhere were you think we will not stick out like a sore thumb

Thanks again.. peace

I have been doing research on Ocean Beach and sounds like we might have a winner, How it the commute to Downtown? I may look for a job in that area.

OB is very close to downtown. Maybe within 8 miles? off the top of my head.

You don't even have to get on a freeway if you don't want to.

OB OB OB OB OB OB OB OB OB OB OB OB OB OB OB OB OB OB OB OB OB !!!!!

I hope I've made myself clear.

Dog Beach is right there!

And if you start to make a little bit of money as time goes by, you can keep move towards the south side of OB towards Point Loma.

OB is a quick drive to Downtown, even during heavy commute times.
