Um, a supposed MOTHER told police she KILLED her child. Whether that's true or not, she's sick in my book.

And if she did, I hope she receives just punishment for it.

I was informed that the mother is saying she left the baby with some couple she said she met in Raymond Russell park. I'm not sure if that is even true, but that is the park being mentioned.

Tempe mother indicted in missing baby case

PHOENIX — Authorities say a Tempe woman has been indicted in the disappearance of her baby.

Maricopa County prosecutors say 23-year-old Elizabeth Johnson was indicted Thursday by a grand jury on charges of kidnapping, child abuse and custodial interference. She remains jailed in Phoenix.

Authorities say Johnson fled the state with her 8-month-old son Gabriel during the week of December 22 in an apparent custody battle. The boy was last seen in San Antonio where Johnson spent Dec. 22 to 27 in two different motels. Johnson was arrested Dec. 30 in Miami and extradited to Arizona. (Full Story (http://www.mysanantonio.com/news/local_news/Tempe_mother_indicted_in_missing_baby_case.html - broken link))
There is still a $5,000 reward for information leading to the location of Gabriel. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (210) 224-STOP or (210) 224-7867. There is also a national tip line through the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children — (800) THE-LOST or (800) 843-5678.

I hope someone comes forward with info on the whereabouts of the baby soon. Wherever the baby is, I hope it's not with some crazy wacko!
