I thought it would be a fun exercise to make a list of things the city is missing be they the most obvious ones or things no one usually considers.

I will go with the obvious.

1. A bookstore on the Southside

I agree with diversity.

We need more development on the northeast and east side. Almost everything is being built on the far northwest side, especially jobs.

I would rather have educated people over liberal attitudes but the two seem to go hand in hand anyways (:

Another thing missing:

A Lilly Pulitzer store.

San Antonio is right about the national average on higher education attainment. About 25% of the population has at least a 4 year degree.

The SAC/Main/Monte Vista/Trinity area, S.A's gay hood, is pretty lively but could be better.

I have good things about In n Out, but, it's just a fast food joint. Aren't they coming to San Antonio and Texas soon?

How about a road/highway infastructure that can handle all these people that the "city leaders" have been trying to lure here for years? They worry about it 20 years after the fact....by then it's the mess we have now! I can't believe they are just now getting around to making a cloverleaf at 1604 and 281.....needed that a loooong time ago! These developers build a mammoth housing community such as Stone Oak, without building the infastructure needed to support it. Way to build a "first class city", you numbnuts! It all boils down to money...just like everything else.
