Just one more reminder that the excellent San Antonio Gun Show is this weekend (21-22 July)!

This show is now over 1000 tables and is absolutely without doubt the best in the area! It's at the Exposition Hall behind Freeman Coliseum (3201 East Houston St). Hours are Saturday 9am–5pm and Sunday 10am–4pm. General Admission is $8, cash only (join their mailing list and get a dollar off entry); uniformed police officers and kids under 12 get in free. Tickets can be bought online as well. Parking is $5.

There will be three more of these shows in San Antonio this year after this one (September 15 & 16, October 13 & 14, and December 8 & 9). The September show will be in conjunction with the The Texas Hunting and Outdoor Classic show, and ten bucks will get you into both events!

Again, please help spread the word. The nice folks at Premier Gun Shows have worked really hard to host this outstanding show here in San Antonio that benefits both local firearms enthusiasts and businesses!

Cheers! M2

Seriously, that is an exceptional weapon. How does she feel? I have a small 2nd cousin..twice removed in the form of a KAHR / 9MM / 8 rounds / in a custom Bianchi. Ideal for Concealed carry. Also use a little velcro and cloth under arm holster that makes her very handy but invisible.

Lady two streets down, here in NE San Antonio..very cautious..pulled into her drive way 2 days ago, mutant walked up, gun drawn and robbed her of her purse.

I do neighborhood watch and it's amazing the dumb things people do like leaving their garage doors up in the Summer "for just a few minutes." All I can do is explain the consequences and move on.

Default Gun shop on Potranco

When did the gun shop on Potranco (outside Loop 1604) close and become a church? And why?

Lock-N-Load-Guns and Gear? Not surprising, every time I went by there they had very little selection. I was last in there this past January, and they had was maybe 5-6 hunting rifles and a few shotguns.

The guys working there was nice, but a business isn't going to survive if it doesn't have merchandise to offer...

I'm surprised that it lasted as long as it did. That shop opened in late 2009, and they were even at a few of the SAXET gun shows.

Bummer, but hopefully The Gun Shack in Helotes will be opening up a new storefront in the near future! The owner said they were working on it a few months back at the gun show...

Cheers! M2

Rumor is they've moved into a storage unit place that has some storefronts at 14 N. Ellison Dr. Suite 114 (Ellison/Potranco behind the Valero). That has yet to be confirmed but we'll get someone on it ASAP!

As for the reason, speculation is that it is much cheaper than their old location. Makes sense, I guess...

Lock-n-Load is gone...period. Unfortunate, because we can always use another place - but what can you do?
