Drove by on the way back from work - $3.00 to park. Forget it. Tell the church to lighten up.

If I was specifically interested, I might go but no casual visits - wait for the A. Shrine shows.

Attendance was VERY light today - dunno what it was like yesterday, but one vendor said it was light as well. May well be that folks are fed up with the parking charges....I needed to get some stuff that the regular local sources don't have, so it was "worth it" to me - but yeah, casual visits are getting way too expensive.

I was there yesterday from about 1-3. It was rather light as well.

I am so happy they are out of Freeman. I miss the airport convention center but this venue is just as big or maybe bigger. I will be happy when they figure out the parking.

Was the same yesterday. Usually by 9:00 there is a line of cars going in, that didn't happen. Also, there normally is a line down the sidewalk for entry, most times back to the mattress store. That didn't happen yesterday either.

I wonder if last month's incident scared folks off, or if it's just getting too close to the holidays and people are saving money. Or, like in my case, I have spent my gun budget for the year. I bought a few small items, but less than $20 despite there being a few rifles (a Albanian SKS and a 1916 Mosin Nagant M91) that caught my eye.

I notice a lot of people park in the street or other places to avoid the parking charge. It is ridiculous, they said it was to build more parking but by charging they've already solved that problem by driving folks to stay away from the show! At this rate, more parking won't be necessary!

Unfortunately, you just missed the last show the year at the Alzafar Shrine last weekend. I didn't go, so I can't say how attendance was at that show.

Cheers! M2of

Just a friendly reminder that the monthly SAXET gun show is this weekend (6-7 Nov) at the SA Event Center (410 & Marbach, behind the IHOP and not far from Mike Yuchnitz's $39.95 Econo Optical! )

Doors open at 9:00 both days.

Cheers! M2

We're most likely going tomorrow, as is the tradition!

Speaking of which, a buddy of mine is looking for an Ed Brown Cobra or Cobra Carry 1911, any idea of where to find one either locally or at the show?

Cheers! M2

Good luck on THAT one, M2! Been looking myself for a while - they're pretty hard to come by. In fact, that's what I was lookin' for when I bought that SS Wilson Sentinel last year.
