Why did the old car wash on Vance Jackson have a road sign depicting two ducks driving a car (other than it being a car wash obviously)?

yeah I remember Pan Am Raceway, I think I even remember the ad too. Don't know about the car wash sign on Vance Jackson.Maybe someone, the owner thought it was cute.

IIRC it was at the NE corner of the mall.

Also, when Dillard's bought out the old Joske's chain, the Joske's location at the SE corner of Windsor was operated as a second Dillard's mall location for a while, perhaps until the lease ran out?

The upper level became part of the food court and the lower level became a Dillard's Home Store

Probably, along with Highland Superstores (they had 3 locations in SA). Best Buy came in 1993 (along with Circuit City) and Conn's the following year
