after all...you were raised better, weren't you?
Here's the problem. The graffiti was illegally put there, how do we legally clean some one elses property?

i explained that,...you can get the permission from the property owner. pick up your free paint, rollers, buckets from the city, and knock yourself out. very, very simple

you can also get your city public works dept but it will take ages because they are a small crew for the entire city.

It shouldnt be a bother to you, because he said dysfuntional familes, not that every single parent families are dysfunctional. perhaps you misunderstood.

Why should the city continue to pay money and supply the concerned citizens with 'free' paint when this incident should have never happened in the first place.

There is a time and a place for everything. And painting gang sings or whatever kind of 'art' on someone else's property is not it.

It's called personal responsibility and that is something you obviously do not understand.

I am so tired of seeing graffiti around S.A. I don't buy the close to thugs theory because if you look for it, you'll see it just about anywhere, yes... even Stone Oak. I've never lived in Houston or Dallas, but I NEVER saw this sort of thing living in suburban Chicago. I suppose it has something to do with apathy on the part of the Police Department, and the affluency differences between the two areas. Then again, I don't see this sort of thing out in the country (dunno about TX, but not in rural TN, AR, or IN [places I've stayed for a bit].

I don't know about sniping, but maybe if we could just stone them a little bit

I heard a comedian the other day, joking, but its true, he used to be a tagger, until he owned property. wonder what any one of those so called street artists would do if they caught someone tagging their car, their house, their property. When its their property that gets the "vandalism" then its another thing. Even here, we've all gone to giving vandalism a euphemistic term to make it seem like its just a petty little thing that shouldnt be treated as badly as a broken window or kicked in door. But vandalism is vandalism. The more we make nice words to make it seem like its not that bad, the more we take away from the seriousness of the issue. Not once have we really addressed that these are criminals, vandalizing property, and should be treated as such, in those terms. The barbie language to protect the innocent and be politically correct is crap.

There yall go again. You're not looking at the positive side of unattributed decoration. It's simply a sign of the thriving local economy! It's a small price to pay for all the new jobs, all the suburban growth, the increased tax revenue, the new stores and restaurants, etc.. San Antonio has joined the big time!

Watch out Houston and Dallas! San Antonio's about to join the big boy ranks. Dallas, you may have gotten AT&T, but your thuggery is no match for ours.

Well I can tell u this from a teen's perspective since I'm guessing the people doing the graffiti are most likely sitting in my class everyday. Yes there's more graffiti around. Places u would never expect. I don't know why but it's a new growing sensation with different kinds of groups. U know how in the past doing graffiti was usually done by graffiti artist and gangsters? Well now the emos, skaters, punks, etc have all gotten in on it. And it's so strange. My classroom has been bombarded with amateur graffiti in chalk when given the chance. Folders, lockers, binders, anything. Oh yeah and the bathrooms. Check the school bathrooms once in a while, there's plenty there. It' s weird.

I remember, back in high school in the early 90's, a friend of mine getting excited about seeing his tag in a skate magazine. The pic was from a park in California where he used to live, and we were in Arkansas at the time.

I didn't really get it then either.
