I tried the one in stone oak. The experience was nothing like the ones on the east coast that I am used to. No zip to the service at all. I was ready to get out of there.

I remember the carbon tacos. But they seemed kind of like the beef fajitas, if I remember correctly. I remember when they served both. Early 90's.

We have a new Lenny's Subs on Bulverde and 1604. I guess I've never eaten at one before because I stopped and picked up dinner there and I didn't recognize the menu. We prefer Firehouse out of the chain sandwich places, but Lenny's has a pretty tasty cheesesteak. It's not a true Philly but we enjoyed them. This location just needs to tweak their service a bit but I will definitely be back.

Yes, we have found their cheese steaks to be pretty good...also try the chicken cheese steak!

I am a fan of Lenny's French Dip. I wish they had more than just sandwiches like soup or something though.

Firehouse is good but I don't touch the bottled sauces anymore after seeing a toddler slobbering all over one of the bottles. That grossed me out. It is a cool concept to have all those sauces out but it just feels so unhygienic to me.

I had already decided that would be my next choice. Texadelphia used to have a good chicken Philly, and so did Malik's Philly restaurant when it was open. I need to find his food truck one day and get one. Have you had a cold sub from Lenny's?

No...I figured I could get that anywhere...I tend to alternate between cheese steak and chicken cheesesteak

If you want a great authentic Philly cheesesteak, go to Youz Guyz on Pat Booker Near Randolph AFB

Menu

I wonder how the heck they get the Amorosos rolls? Ship em from philly? Besides the meat being sirloin, that is the next most important ingredient.
