Oh joy! TW came out and replaced my modem. Now I am getting a 14.79 Mbps download on speedtest.net and 14.45 on the TW speedtest site. The technician that came out said my modem was ancient, he hadn't seen that model in many years.

I don't know whether this merits a new thread or not, but anyway I am on Time Warner for Internet and would like to know if it is possible to get live CNN streaming into my PC and iPad at home?

Yes on the iPad. No on the PC.

The app you need for the iPad is called "TWC TV." You can get dozens of channels and on-demand programs with that app.

My Internet speed are like TowBar was and my modem is a uBee. I wonder if I should call TW and ask for new modem? By the way I've been with Time Warner internet for five years and am pleased with the service. Previously I was with AT&T internet and was not happy at all.

If you have speeds like I had (~3Mbps) then you have a problem. Call TW so they can fix it. It did take me 2 calls. Someone else mentioned just taking your modem to them to get a new one. I have heard that before as well.

Ok. I may do that. How much do I need to pay for the new one or do I "trade in"?

If you have their modem just take it to one of their offices and say "they told me to come exchange this". When i did it, they took it from me and handed me another one. In and out in less than five minutes.
