Hi guys I have only been living here in ROC for about a year and I just got relocated once again to FL, now I am stuck with a few items I bought to decorate my apartment ( a bed, a dinner set and a sofa bed ) and since then I've been calling moving companies and it is crazy expensive!! I can not believe how much they want to move these few things I have!! so my question is

1) do you guys know of a way to move my stuff for less than $1000k ?
2) since I believe 1) is almost impossible where can I sell my stuff other than craiglist? there are some much crap there and mine is almost new and so much nicer but it is so much more difficult to find because there are so many posts!
3)could you guys help me spread the word I must move quick so pls help pls pls pls

I think you should at least try Craigslist and see what happens. There are a whole lot of students getting ready to come back to Rochester this month, and I know they do buy items from Craigslist (my son goes to school at RIT, he and his roommates have purchased from CL). Also, there are some consignment shops in the area that may work for you:

Welcome to RACS

Good luck!

Hi Carol. My family and I are moving FROM FL to Syracuse next week and we are using a company called Movex. You basically rent a certain amount of space on a transport truck, and pay for the space. We used it when we moved my mother in law, and now we are moving our 4 bdr home for under $2500. I must warn you though, you will have to load and unload yourself.
