hogans heroes ...exactly... that is what i was watching in 1968 when i had the thought... "Isn't there something better to do with my time rather than passively watch this crap? "

Poof GONE (TV).

Haven't missed it yet, but when I head to senior home I requested Lawrence Welk DVD's. One will probably do, I will never remember if I had seen that episode for the 40th time.

In 1968 I started rebuilding totaled muscle cars. I had 9 cars / and trucks before I was 16.

Maybe that was a waste of time too, but it kept me busy and I learned a lot (and had a lot of 'dangerous' fun!)

Unfortunately, I am at higher risk of Covid-19 due to respiratory issues of painting cars as a teenager and then working in a chemically hazardous career for 40 yrs. Being weaned on the belching smokestack of a tractor for 16 hrs / day probably was not 'good-ole-country-air' ...

We have several OTA stations that feature all the old popular TV shows from Andy Griffith to the Twilight Zone. Also a few stations showing old time game shows. Fun to watch and reminisce.

I'm 61. I have particular tastes in entertainment. I cannot be classified into an old age or over 60 category. I work with people half my age. i don't feel old. I cannot bear to watch anything where the subject is "Murder" or involves fast car chases or Superheroes or Housewives. That takes out a lot of TV and Movies for me. Can't stand TV re-runs of shows in my past. I like Travel shows, Downton Abbey, Docu-dramas, Science, things many people would consider boring and thats fine with me.

I got on a hulu kick back when hulu was free. I went through every episode of Bat Masterson, Perry Mason, Bob Newhart, Dick Van Dyke... I'm sure there were others. I don't pay for TV (or shopping).
I love BBC! I'll pay for a subscription of PBS for Masterpiece! If I had internet...
