Put me in the "neither" camp. Neither of those brands has a place in the current line-ups and any recognition they had among most people isn't a positive one given the state of both when they were finally killed. I suppose one could make a limited case for Imperial as Chrysler is having a hard time marketing/selling Chrysler as a luxury brand, but Chrysler kind of has their hands full as it is. I don't even know where you would put Oldsmobile given that many Chevy and Buick models are already pretty much trimlines of each other, you'd basically end up with the base Buick/the LTZ Chevy becoming an Oldsmobile. Not to mention that the name isn't exactly the most marketable thing in the world since it contains the word "old". Not without coincidence that was a long running issue with the brand inside GM. The name didn't jive with GM's desires to appear youthful and progressive.
After thinking about it (and reading njgoat's post) I did go back and vote for Imperial. The prerequisite for my support would be that the Imperial line would have to be more upscale than anything currently offered by Chrysler. Since Olds was historically in the middle of the GM pack the potential for that brand to fill a niche is much lower.
