GOD describes satan in detail and prophetically what is going to happen to him in Ezekiel 28.
No mention of satan. This is not surprising since Satan doesn't feature in the old testament.
Quote:
A figure known as "the satan" first appears in the Tanakh as a heavenly prosecutor, a member of the sons of God subordinate to Yahweh, who prosecutes the nation of Judah in the heavenly court and tests the loyalty of Yahweh's followers

What about his appearance in Job?
Quote:
One day the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came with them.
“Where have you come from?†said the LORD to Satan.
“From roaming through the earth,†he replied, “and from walking back and forth in it.â€
Then the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one on earth like him, a man who is blameless and upright, who fears God and shuns evil.†Satan answered the LORD, “Does Job fear God for nothing? Have You not placed a hedge on every side around him and his household and all that he owns? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. But stretch out Your hand and strike all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face.â€
“Very well,†said the LORD to Satan. “Everything he has is in your hands, but you must not lay a hand on the man himself.â€
Then Satan went out from the presence of the LORD. Job 1:6-12
That was "the satan" and in the original story the name of that satan was given and he was one of the gods of the day. Notice that he was acting on the instructions of 'God' (it was not the god Yahweh) after a bet between God and 'the satan' (which means adversary or tester).
The Book of Job was a rehash of an older Sumerian or Acadian story or something. It could even be Egyptian in origin. I gave it a quick search but came up empty handed. Well, not completely empty handed. I found a reference to a book discussing Job.

Do you have a source for this? I'm asking because I never heard of this before, and I want to learn more about it.
He wouldn't because he is just the unthinking, indiscriminate source of motivation within each of us that does not distinguish between good and evil, just pain and pleasure. It is our reptilian brain, NOT a person or being.
