Why are some people comfortable to be gay, while others feel as though they have to proceed with sex change procedures too?

Being gay and wanting to be the opposite sex have nothing to do with each other. A gay man who wants to be with men, is happy being male, he just wants his love relationships to also be with men. Your gender and our sexuality are two different things.
From what I have seen, with people who are transgendered, in the mind of the person, they feel like their bodies are a lie, they feel like their brain is one sex while their body looks like another. In people with chromosomal anomolies this is understandable but from what I understand these cases are in the minority.
