I swear, that's how some of these posts here sound. Are people really this shallow or is it all talk?
Really? Why do you get that impression? I'd say that my main concerns are that couples be married before conceiving a child, be able to afford to raise their child or children properly, be good parents and also not have any family medical issues like alcoholism, or a predisposition to a bad heart or cancer.

Who knows around here! If you check out the flip flop thread over in beauty and fashion, if you have ugly feet, you should not wear them, heaven forbid some poor soul wasn't gifted gorgeous feet from God above, they must suffer in 100 degree heat and cover up those uglies so some people don't have to suffer by looking at them
Yeah, I'm often amazed by how much emphasis some folks place on externals like looks and net worth.
As for folks with cancer and alcoholism lurking in the family tree breeding, I firmly believe that backyard eugenics fails at breeding quality dogs and humans are far more complex

What I find really funny is that the people who are rated 5 or lower, get upset at the 5+ people for not wanting to be with a -5 person. They say "oh you are so shallow" or worse yet, they try to say that someting is wrong with the 5+ people on the inside. That one really cracks me up.

I'm glad this is just a joke. I was thinking can it get any dumber? lol fwiw, I've seen good looking people have ummm.... not so good looking offspring, I've also seen the opposite. As far as looks go, I think it's just luck.

It's called regression towards the mean. Basically, realllllly ridiculously good looking people are statistical outliers. The average person is just that - average looking.
Who does the judging about what is a 5 and what is less than 5???
