I am thankful for friends that are co-workers, the ability to cook for someone, the courage to make pies from scratch, and my family the rest of the year!
Good lordy, finally made it through all of the black Friday adds and emails now this damn Cyber Monday nonsense. Will it ever end?? LOL, from here to Christmas we're just gonna get ramrodded with junk mail and advertisements from every direction. Part of the reason why I'm not such a fan of this time of the year. All the hoopla just sorta takes the fun out of it sometimes.

I've made it through raising kids through all this hoopla ...tried my best to balance materialism to giving ...I think they turned out alright...we have scaled all gift giving down to "ugly sweater"...and a good meal together...

We've really scaled things down as well. As a full time student, money is too tight to mention anyways. My daughter and I will be baking a dozen or more different kinds of cookies and I plan to wrap sampler boxes and trays of our goodies for gifts.
I just wish I could fast forward to the end of this semester because this one has been a real humdinger.
To Sea of Grass and Chowhound - I went to Jons before thanksgiving and took a few snaps with my phone to illustrate their deli department. I'm going to try to get those photos posted in my profile tonight
